voice wrote:Just so you guys know. The new contruction pictures are on uncabulldogs.com. There is a button called construction update right in the middle of the home page. Click there and amazingly there is a link to the photo gallery. The pictures are also under the facilities tab at the top, there is page about Kimmel Arena and Straus Track and they also have photo galleries. So check back each week for more pics.

I'm impressed with the obsession for this building project.. it's just construction folks!! DIrt gets moved, foundation will be poured, walls to be set, roof trusses, siding, windows, roof.. dried in.. then lots of dust inside, later it will open- then we should get excited!! It will be a wonderful addition to the athletics at UNCA, but the constant updates have the perception that we're depsarate.. patience!!

I'm just kinda poking fun at the video camera idea/constant updating that were prevalent thoughts here once.. the pics every 3-4 weeks is cool & what we all expect to see.. Cat's is still venting from the WCU foosball season...

I took a pic with my phone coming down the steps from Karpen from the library, not sure how to get it up & on here though (I will email it to someone who can! PM me your email- thx!)
You can definitely see from the Reuter Center height/parking areas the concrete stepdowns where the bleachers will be so that was pretty cool!!
Weather is supposed to be great through the weekend so I expect more progress as there were tons of graders, multiple cranes hoisting beams/roofing and with most of the mountain leveled & graded you can really see the footprint nicely- if voice & others don't take some updated pics soon, I may run over there early next week & take some.. if only I knew how to post them!!
