I really could care less. If they are going to provide us with uniforms, I'm all for it. Better than having to pay for Nike ones. Winthrop used to have a deal with New Balance back in the day.

What exactly is there to be embarassed by?? They make uniforms- does anyone really care who makes the uniforms?? I don't, I do care how those uniforms look but not which vendor provides them.. in fact Crons sponsors the entire Big South conference in terms of Men's Basketball since last fall with t-shirts/caps.. this isn't exactly breaking news albeit that "multi-sports" are now part of the deal..

For all any of us know- they could be the next Under Armour, but how dare some other company try to compete with Nike/Adidas.. they could flop as well- point is- who really cares??

Men's basketball will still have Nike shoes and some other apparel items.. Now go run away & hide with your bipolar self..

I saw not a word about providing you with "free" uniforms, just a "partnership"

Also whatever "the deal" is, it makes "the Bulldogs the first University to become a multi-sport partner" - here I note "multi-sport partner" not an exclusive uniform provider. One of the coaches must have another deal that was too good to give up. My guess would be is that CRONS is giving uniform discounts and some free "NCAA-compliant energy bars".

Or they might not yet make uniforms for soccer, tennis, track, whatever. I quickly looked on their website and only saw baseball and basketball uniforms yesterday, but admittedly might have missed something.

Free, reduced, whatever.... I can only assume that we are going to be paying less for these than we paid for our other uniforms. Considering that I really could care less about the uniforms and that we will now be able to re-direct those funds to something else, I think it's a good development. We aren't wearing CRONS shoes and shoes might actually have an impact on our performance. I don't really know what we are supposed to be so upset about? The only thing I'm mad about is that it is possibly the corniest name ever (Come Ready Or Never Start.)

Edit: Went back to their website. They are not (at least on their website) showing volleyball, track, or tennis uniforms. So how could they be an exclusive uniform provider?

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh..... don't tell them that, they won't believe you.

Anyway, UNC-A would never attempt to recruit someone so shallow as to care about an athletic company logo on their uniform anyway.

It hasn't hurt our recruiting yet... I think the proof is in the results not your speculation..

Speaking of recruits... I figured the Radford guys would be putting all their energy into the NCAA eligibility center and the clarification of Abele's status.. Will he make the cut?

That's a pretty dumb statement even for you kingaling.....

the agreement with CRONS was only signed June 16th, so I doubt the school's received ANYTHING from them yet.

I'm pretty sure had a deal with them last year too, if only for Basketball.

Would maybe be #49 on the Top 50 Things a Recruit is Looking For In a School.

"Not a real big fan of the school and I doubt I'll get much playing time early. Didn't really hit it off with their coach either."
"So why are you going to go there?"
"I take it you haven't seen their uniforms?"

WhatAJoke- we had CRONS uni's this past season... the June 16th deal was a "multi-sport" contract, they've been a Big South sponsor for Men's basketball since last year..

Funny how we have a recruit that is leaving a Jordan/Nike brand sponsored program in Oak Hill Academy & passed up several Nike programs (notably Radford) and several Adidas programs to potentially come to a CRONS uniform program with Nike footwear.. You were saying something about recruiting effects? Be serious...

You brought up the effect that CRONS might or might not have on recruiting, not me. I just think it was a stupid move to sign with an almost unknown company. It will never be the deciding factor IF someone selects to attend UNC-A, but it will never be one of those little things done by a program that impresses a prospect in a positive manner either.

and by the way... let me know how it works out for that kid that passed on "several NIKE" programs.

Run away with your bi-polar self & go find Cat's.. this is really a none issue all the way around...

I know it's been a quiet summer, especially recently but let's not dwell on stupid topics..

If you want to talk- talk about the brand new hardwood floor being installed in the JC due to torrential rain/flooding that damaged the old floor.. talk about the 3 new additions to the program, 2 of which are on campus this summer, talk about the status of Kimmel Arena.. hell talk about the kids & their Facebook status' for all I care, but the uniform provider? Get a life!!

One has to wonder, what tune you'd be singing, IF and that's a big if, UNC-A had signed a contract with Nike or Adadis.

but CRONS, I'd want to change the subject too. what a joke.

King, I realize you have an insatiable need to get the last word in, but anyone who uses the term "none issue" (see your penultimate post) shouldn't criticize anyone else's spelling. "Adidas" is a proper name, but "non issue" is part of the American vernacular. And English is your native tongue. Not to mention the numerous times in past posts where you spelled out "lead" when you meant the past tense "led."

I know you'll be coming back at me with some inanity. Instead though, why not surprise everybody here and ignore this post.

Your concern for others ability to spell is touching, especially when they are making a point with which you disagree.

As is your ability to change the subject when your point is the inferior position. Last but not least, name calling is always your preferred tool.

So it has come down to name calling and correcting English....You are all illiterate, idiotic, poop breathed, dumb-dumb heads for resorting to it.

You might need to take out a comma and add an and in that sentence.

oh man, I LOVE sporcle.

So do we have any idea about this year's schedule yet? Isn't it usually released around this time of year?

While some authorities say that the comma before the conjunction is optional, leaving it out may cause confusion, so it is better to include it.

http://englishplus.com/grammar/00000070.htm

I don't think replacing a comma with an 'and' is necessarily correct. I should have used a different structure because, "You are all illiterate, idiotic, poop breathed, and dumb-dumb heads for resorting to it" loses effect. I really wanted them all of the adjectives to simultaneously describe the subject. It would have been better without any commas at all.

You are all illiterate poop-breathed dumb-dumb heads for resorting to name calling.

And we usually are one of the last teams to release a schedule. It's early yet.

Schedule is still in the works- lots of possibilities with various schedule offers/coordination etc.. This is the time of year (recruiting) where the coaches are on the road & Eddie is being approached by schools with various scheduling options.. so it's definitely early..

Only definitive OOC game is @ UNC right now..

Awesome. Does this mean I should start putting stuff in John Henson's food at Rams Head? (note: Just kidding...of course).

Hopefully we get a semi-large contingent to the Dean Dome for this game.
