You do realize that students don't buy tickets- neither do fans that show up on the free ticket promotion days that WCU has offered.. that being said it probably will be closer than you would imagine- I certainly would expect WCU to sell more this year given the capacity- unfortunately for your team there should be more butts in the seats since they have deserved the attendance that could be.. Regardless if we do or don't, its really funny that we can show that we have done so given the vastly superior (or so you would have us believe) "arena" that WCU has..

The website is a valid site... check the main l here then http://www2.indystar.com/NCAA_financial_reports/ - the other was specific to UNCA & seems to be down smart guy...

Had you posted your data a being 5 years old, I wouldn't have even bothered to check your link. That season the Cats were 8-22 overall, and 7-6 at home.

That sounds about right for most basketball seasons in the 'whee.. I so enjoy when you prove my point about WCU basketball..

Thanks for the season results though.. You were already familiar with that report site I'm sure- we have discussed it here before..

Sorry to disappoint you... but I've never, never looked up this or any other site for basketball revenue for Western or any other school. That has never been a priority of mine.

I have have looked at these type of sites for info on overall athletic budgets, football revenue, and recruiting budgets... but never the amount of basketball tickets sold.

and guess what.... it's still not a priority with me.

So why waste your time looking it up?? Then posting twice more if it's no big deal to you.. I'm really getting under your skin eh??

What.. no more comments about your message board or other random bipolar things to take the focus off of the most recent WCU loss in this thread??

Never?? Or you just never paid attention to the info you were providing... Like I said, it's funny how you tried to infer that I had linked a made-up website when you have, in fact, provided that link yourself to others on your Kitty board just 10 days ago...

Buzz Peterson is now 12 - 0 vs the Can'ts.. ASU 89 - WCU 77 in the RAC.. This is the same ASU team that lost to King's College 5 days ago in Boone.. Wow!!

Additionally Cats- Guess we're not the only one's with this opinion... http://forums.delphiforums.com/appstate ... g=31060.23

I'd also have to say that I agree with post #31 in that same thread linked above...

But hey... At least 6,024 fans made it to the game to watch ASU sweep WCU for the 5th time in 6 seasons in basketball...
ASU holds a 106-57 lead in the all-time series with WCU.. ASU has won 12 of the last 13... OUCH...

Misery loves company Cat's & UNCA just dropped 2 road games.. don't hide kitty kitty we can still discuss that everchanging & dropping Realtime RPI you're so fond of...

3rd straight loss... Wheels on the bus go round & round.. round & round... round & round...

Nik Cochran and Jake Cohen each scored 14 points to help Davidson hold off Western Carolina in a 75-72 victory on Saturday night.

Ben Allison had 12 points and Steve Rossiter added 10 for the Wildcats (13-12, 8-5 Southern Conference), who held a 70-67 lead on Will Archambalt's jumper with 4:20 left in the second half.

Western Carolina's Harouna Mutombo answered with a 3-pointer to tie the game at 70-70 with 4:07 to play. But the Catamounts (18-8, 8-6) would not pull ahead, as Cohen's layup with 1:05 remaining put Davidson up for good.

The Wildcats outscored Western Carolina in the paint, 32-18.

Davidson shot 46.4 percent from the floor (26-for-56) compared to the Catamounts, who shot 44.8 percent (26-for-58).

Mutombo led Western Carolina with a game-high 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Brandon Giles had 13 points and Jake Robinson added 11.\

Brandon Giles scored 20 points to help lead Western Carolina past North Carolina-Greensboro 75-70 on Monday night.

Richie Gordon added 11 points and Harouna Mutombo had 10 rebounds for the Catamounts, who snapped a three-game losing streak.

Western Carolina (19-8, 9-6 Southern Conference) won the rebounding battle 45-43, and had 22 second-chance points, compared to 14 by the Spartans (5-20, 4-10).

The Catamounts led 68-55 with 5:04 to go, and UNC-Greensboro pulled within 74-70 on a 15-2 run capped by Kyle Randall's layup with 29 seconds left.

Giles' free throw put Western Carolina up 75-70 with 21 seconds left, and the Spartans couldn't catch the Catamounts as Mikko Koivisto's 3 missed the mark with 5 seconds left.

Randall finished with 20 points and Koivisto added 13 for UNC-Greensboro, which lost its fourth straight.

Maybe Cat's will come back over here now..

Cosmo Morabbi scored 16 points to lead The Citadel to a 73-56 victory over Western Carolina on Thursday night, extending the Bulldogs' winning streak to five games.

Morabbi was 5-for-5 from the 3-point line and Zach Urbanus added 14 points for The Citadel (15-12, 9-6 Southern Conference), which shot 58.8 percent from beyond the arc (10-for-17).

Western Carolina (19-9, 9-7), which shot 33.9 percent from the field (19-for-56), has lost four of its past five games.

The Bulldogs trailed 40-39 before going on a 12-1 run capped by Morabbi's 3-pointer with 11:38 to play. Morabbi hit another 3-pointer for a 56-43 lead with 9:29 left.

Cameron Wells added 13 points and Harrison DuPont had 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs, who also shot 76.5 percent from the free throw line (13-for-17).

Brigham Waginger led Western Carolina with 12 points.

WCU travels to Kent State in their BB game that now ESPN might be wondering why they agreed to televise a game that looked great on paper once upon a time.. WCU is still a capable team & Kent State is tied for 1st in their league with this game not meaning much to them other than better seeding for the Golden Flashes in the NCAA tourney should they get there..

WCU is now 4-6 in their last 10 games... Yikes!!

Richie Gordon had 16 points and eight rebounds and Western Carolina beat Elon 68-57 on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the Southern Conference tournament.

The Catamounts (22-10) took control with an 18-0 run midway through the first half, holding Elon scoreless for a span of 8:12. That spurt turned a 15-11 deficit into a 29-15 lead, and Elon never got closer than five points the rest of the way.

Harouna Mutombo added 14 points, Mike Williams 13 and Jake Robinson 10 for Western Carolina, which advanced to Sunday's semifinals against the winner of Wofford and UNC-Greensboro.

The Catamounts outrebounded the Phoenix 44-25.

Elon (9-23), which upset Davidson in the opening round, got 15 points from Chris Long, 13 from Drew Spradlin and 12 from T.J. Douglas. The Phoenix shot just 30 percent from the field, and 11 of their 15 made field goals came from 3-point range.

WCU faces #1(south & overall) Wofford tomorrow at 6pm @ Time Warner Arena- game will be broadcasted on SportSouth..

Pretty unlucky year for the Can'tamounts. They really had a good team and still had a great season. But, it's got to suck that when you have a team laden with talented seniors beat some big name teams only to lose the division to a hated rival and then ultimately lose in the conference tourney to another team enjoying a really good year that hasn't been good traditionally (Wofford). It's always hard to get through a conference tourney.

Tough luck guys. See you next year.

Is that the same tourney Liberty played in last year? Maybe that was the CBI. I get all the lower tier tourneys mixed up.

All in all, not a bad showing from the Can'ts on the road. I wonder how much money they lost on the extra game though.
