Coach Adell Harris' Lady Pioneers will be playing in the SAC Championship tomorrow as they defeated Lenoir-Rhyne today 77-63. L-R was the #1 seed and split with #4 Tusculum during the regular season..

Tusculum will face the winner of #3 Carson-Newman vs #2 Newberry tomorrow at 4pm.. (Men's final is Brevard vs Catawba @2pm)

Coach Adell Harris has her Tusculum College Pioneer women's basketball team on quite a roll.. The Pioneers have won their last 9 games & her team has beat 4 Top 25 teams in their last 5 games.. Won the SAC championship and now has won the schools first ever appearrance in the D-2 Southeast Regional Championship final..

In the 64 team tourney with 8 subregionals the Pioneers were the #7 seed in the Southeast Regional-
1st round they beat #2 seed (19th ranked) Clayton State University
2nd round over #3 seed (20th ranked) Francis Marion University
Sweet 16- Southest Regional Final over #1 seed (11th ranked) Lander University

In the Elite 8/National quarterfinals game scheduled for next Tuesday 3/23 the Pioneers will face #1 ranked Gannon University (36-0) at St. Joseph Civic Arena in St. Joseph, Mo.

Tusculum battled Gannon hard last night in the Elite 8 round of the Women's NCAA D2 tourney but just could not overcome some strong last minute offensive rebounding by the undefeated Gannon University team.. Great first season for Coach Adell Harris & with only 1 senior, next year's Pioneer team will most likely have high expectations..
